Timothy Bryant

Timothy Bryant is the visionary force and founding caribou behind Caribou Moving Pictures. Growing up in Burbank, California, surrounded by the industry, his experience includes work as executive liaison to the vice-president of Columbia Pictures Entertainment Television, publicity coordinator at Columbia Pictures Studios and producer's assistant, camera assistant, client liaison and more at ABC, Churchill Films, Film Fair Studios, NBC, Warner Bros., MTV, Nickelodeon, CBS, ShowTime and The Disney Channel. He has also worked almost every job behind the camera, including work on “Who's the Boss?”, “Married, with Children”, “Designing Women” and “My Two Dads”. In 1984, Tim started his own production company, Caribou Moving Pictures, where he wrote, directed and produced several short movies, including Hunger and Greed (1995), which received an "Outstanding Achievement in Production" award from the Arizona Film Society, and Way Station Detours (2000), which won “Audience Favorite” at the 2000 Saguaro International Film Festival. He also wrote and produced the science fiction adventure feature film Planet of the Killer Robots (2002) and short film The Message (2004). Tim was a professional camera operator for multiple productions and live events including, Ken Burns, Cher, Tony Bennett and Terry Bradshaw.

As Executive Producer, he  is developing the feature length motion pictures, In Search of Steven Spielberg and Greenbriar and developed the international award winning short Retrocausality (2019).

Tim is currently writing and developing a feature-length motion picture, workplace comedy, “AV” and an adventure comedy television series, “Greater Kitteon”.

Ethan Moe

Ethan Moe is the director of three short films, Rude Awakening (2002), The Message (2004) and Retrocausality (2019), and has served in numerous other positions in the media industry, including best boy/grip on Rosa Peligrosa (2002), editor on The Heartbreaker (2003), gaffer on Cookies for Callie (2003) and 1st assistant director on Illusion (2005), as well as visual effects, property master, script supervisor, sound engineer, boom operator and more. In 2001, he co-founded Lime Wrangler Productions with seven other members of the Phoenix Screen and Stagewriters Group.

Daryl F. Mallett

Daryl F. Mallett is a Christian and father of three beautiful children. He is also an award-winning actor, producer and writer. As an actor, Mallett has appeared in Carmady's People: The Case of the Reluctant Major (1986), “Star Trek: The Next Generation” (1987-94), Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death (1989), Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991), “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” (1993-99), Illusion (2005) and National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007). He served as assistant to the producers on The Message (2004), associate producer on Illusion (2005) and producer on Retrocausality (2019). He is an award-winning stage actor as well, appearing in over a dozen productions, including Pirates of Penzance for the Carson Civic Light Opera; A Christmas Carol (1991); Drama-Logue Award; Ebenezer Award; and also dances with his daughter as part of Ballet Rincon’s ensemble as Herr Stahlbaum in The Nutcracker (2019- ). As an author, Daryl has 19 books published, has edited over 50 titles and has a few books coming out over the next few years. In 2019, he conceived the idea and, with others, founded the Arizona Film Expo.

Joe Peña

Producer - Writer


Biographies: Team Members

Joe Peña is a husband and father of eight beautiful children. He was born in Ecuador, South America, and grew up in Burbank, California. He graduated from university with a double major in Accounting and Finance and worked as a banker and auditor for several large financial institutions for about 10 years and as an accountant and controller for various insurance brokers for an additional 10 years. For the last 15 years, he has worked as an adjuster, collections manager and legal hearing representative in the workers' compensation arena. Growing up and playing in Hollywood's backyard, he has instinctively been drawn to filmmaking. Joe was a producer and first assistant director and co-writer, with his wife Laura, on Caribou's short film, Retrocausality (2019), which just won an award at the Tagore International Film Festival.
